Please note that any medication, supplement, or dietary changes should always be run by your physician first to make sure it is the right fit for you. Do not add any of these based on the information from this website without first consulting your doctor.
**I do not allow republication of my posts, photos, or recipes without prior consent. If you'd like to post a recipe, just message me! I'd be more than happy to work with you. I usually just ask for a credit and link back to the site and original recipe. I do allow sharing of my photos on social media as long as you credit the post it came from with a direct link and also link to thedizzycook.com. Thanks for sharing! You are encouraged to confirm any information obtained from or through this website with other sources and review all information regarding any medical condition or treatment with your physician. NEVER DISREGARD PROFESSIONAL MEDICAL ADVICE OR DELAY SEEKING MEDICAL TREATMENT BECAUSE OF SOMETHING YOU HAVE READ OR ACCESSED ON THIS WEBSITE. Diet plan, exercise suggestions, supplements, lifestyle changes, and recipes should only be used by healthy individuals.
The Dizzy Cook, LLC is not written by a doctor or registered dietician and anything written on this website should not be a substitute for medical advice. I am just a fellow chronic migraine sufferer passing on what has worked for me in the hope that it may help you in some small (or BIG) way. I work closely with many doctors and neurologists on some of the information you see here, but treatments are always changing. I try to update posts accordingly with new information, but posts may not reflect the most recent research.
All recipes are based on the diet plan from the book Heal Your Headache by Dr. David Buchholz as well as the Johns Hopkins Migraine Clinic. You will find out over several weeks that what might be on the list of “OK” foods could potentially be a trigger for you and some “trigger” foods may be fine. Everyone is very different and obviously it would be impossible to try to cater to everyone’s personal triggers outside the plan. I will try my best to give alternatives in the post.
Because I do not have a medical background, I will never give advice on personal medications or treatment plans. I will touch on supplements that have worked for me or research behind certain treatments, but you should ALWAYS run any information by your physician.
Ads and Affiliate Links
I've made the decision to add advertisements to my site through a 3rd party service and do not control what ads you see - they are generated based upon your search history. Through this change, I'm hoping to continue to provide you with more amazing free content. Because I know ads can be triggering to some, if there's ever one that bothers you please take a screenshot and email alicia@thedizzycook.com so I can work with my ad network to come up with a better solution.
Occasionally there may be sponsored or partnership posts on my site and those will be disclosed. That being said, anything I link to as far as products will always be items I have personally tried and believe in. I refuse to promote a product that is not migraine-friendly or that I do not believe in or tried personally.

Accessibility on thedizzycook.com
Disclaimer
www.thedizzycook.com continues its efforts to constantly improve the accessibility of its site and services in the belief that it is our collective moral obligation to allow seamless, accessible and unhindered use also for those of us with disabilities.
Despite my efforts to make all pages and content on www.thedizzycook.com fully accessible, some content may not have yet been fully adapted to the strictest accessibility standards. This may be a result of not having found or identified the most appropriate technological solution.
Areas for improvement and time-lines
I am aware of some areas on the website where I must improve accessibility. I am currently working to achieve this. I hope that this website will achieve “Level AA” conformance to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 by December 2022.
Star ratings: As of now, my recipe rating system can’t be accessed by keyboard. I have contacted the developer of the recipe plugin I’m using on thedizzycook.com and we are working on a solution.
Images: I will update the alt-text of the photos in my posts continually. I hope to have improved the accessibility of all the photos in all my posts by December 2022. If you find one I have missed, please email me alicia@thedizzycook.com
Audit: I have been in touch with an accessibility auditor and will be scheduling an audit of www.thedizzycook.com shortly to learn which further areas need to be improved to reach accessibility standards on this website.
